Women at Microsoft (WAM) Scholarship

• Worldwide chapters are located in California, Carolina, Europe, New York, North Carolina, Washington, Europe, and Asia.
Corporate VP Mobile Devices Marketing, Suzan DelBene, functions as executive sponsor and corporate management liaison for the group.

If you are a woman and considering a carrer in computer technology, this scholarship might be worth looking into. The only problem with this scholarship is the fact that is for women in Washington State, the location of Microsoft Headquarters.
If you are a young women with good academic achievement, live in Washington State, interested in computer, or an IT career, check it out. This could help with continuing with an education in the field of IT or other computer majors for women.
Requirements:
•The WAM Scholarship Fund. Two scholarships, $2,500 apiece, to women undergraduates attending an accredited college or university courses in computer related majors in Washington State.

•DigiGirlz Day. WAM introduced a program, “DigiGirlz Day” for high school women In 2006. It is designed to provide opportunities to discuss college plans. This is an annual event featuring networking sessions, and speakers. The program is focused on explore opportunities available for women in business and technology.
